The ultimate Court in the composition of the full Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs stated on Tuesday the validity of the election of Karol Nawrocki as president of the Republic of Poland. The election was held on the first June of that year.
The resolution was taken by all 18 judges of this House. The content of the resolution and the justification of the decision was read by the president of the home Krzysztof Wiak.
Three judges submitted separate opinions
Two judges submitted separate sentences to the full resolution and 1 to justify. president Wiak pointed out in the justification that the large number of electoral protests - about 54 1000 - did not increase the weight of the allegations raised in them.
None of the established shortcomings affected the overall result of the elections. The gathering was attended by the head of the State Election Commission Sylwester Marciniak and lawyer General Adam Bodnar with Deputy Prosecutor Jack Bilewicz.
Bodnar requested a change of composition
At the beginning of the meeting, Bodnar requested that the importance of the elections be examined by the Labour and Social Insurance Board. In his explanatory memorandum to the proposal, he pointed out that the Extraordinary Control Chamber “does not meet the requirements of independency and impartiality”.

The KRS was formed under the provisions of the 2017 Act. For this reason, the position of this home is challenged by the current government, which cites the case law of the EU Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights.
