The incidental occurred in the United States. Ukrainian Alexi Shinkarenko He set fire to a laboratory where he took a DNA test to confirm he was a 100% Ukrainian. Shinkarenko received results far from his expectations. The case was informed by the global agency Al Jazeera.
Shinkarenko went to 1 of the 23AndMe laboratory network facilities to undergo a DNA test. He hoped to show that he was 100% Ukrainian. He was shocked by the results. The survey showed that 7.9% are Ukrainian, 42.4% are Polish, 6.6% are Russian, and 43.1% have a different European nationality.
After receiving the results, Shinkarenko decided to request a refund from the lab. He claimed 23AndMe made a mistake and the results were false. Of course, he faced a refusal to execute the claim and set the laboratory on fire in retaliation.
