During president Charles Nawrocki's authoritative visit to the White House, a gathering took place with Donald Trump, who preceded a brief press briefing attended by both leaders.
In consequence to the question about the future of the presence of American troops in Poland, the president of the United States made a clear statement: not only does he plan to retreat his forces from our country, but to increase them.
– No, possibly I don't know something, but we'll send you more. We want more presence. We will stay in Poland. We are very connected to Poland said the president of the United States.
Trump besides stressed that the thought of withdrawing troops afraid another countries, but not Poland:
– We never thought about withdrawing troops from Poland, we never would have. We were reasoning of withdrawing [wars] from another countries, but we will aid Poland defend itself.
He besides added that Poland meets and exceeds NATO's defence spending requirements:
– Poland is 1 of the fewer NATO countries that spend more than the required ceiling.
President Nawrocki stressed Poland's ambition to increase military spending:
– We want to allocate 5% of GDP to the army. – he noted.

The presidents' gathering was held behind closed doors, and its details have not yet been disclosed. However, it can already be seen that 1 of the main topics was military cooperation and regional security.
U.S. Army presence in Poland – state for today
Currently there are about 10 1000 American soldiers stationed in Poland, deployed rotationally as part of NATO activities and bilateral agreements with the US. The most crucial bases are located in Poznań (Camp Kosciuszko), where the Extant Command of the 5th U.S. Army Corps (Forward Command Post) operates, and in Drawsk Pomeranian, Żagań, Powidz and Toruń – key logistics and training points. The improvement of a large warehouse-logistic base for dense equipment (including Abrams and Paladin Haubic tanks) is taking place in Powidz. The U.S. besides has air infrastructure in Łask and Mirosławc. As part of the military presence, elements of the rocket defence besides function, and for 2026 the Aegis Ashore base in Redzikov is planned to be launched.
Although American soldiers do not stay permanently, their presence is constantly and intensively supported by equipment and logistics facilities, making Poland 1 of the pillars of the east flank of NATO.
