Co-chair of the fresh Left Włodzimierz Czarzasty reported that Deputy Head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs Andrzej Szejna will make a message on media reports concerning, among others, irregularities in the settlement of kilometres and abuse of alcohol. "I think this message will explain quite a few things," added Czarzasty.

The affair
The case was first informed by Virtual Poland. According to the findings of the portal during the period covered by the notification, Szejna was to receive PLN 122 1000 from the alleged kilometres.
In the “Big Formata” “Gazeta Wyborcza”, journalists revealed that erstwhile co-workers of Andrzej Szejna accused him of driving without accounting for kilometres and permanently abused alcohol.

Who's Szejna?
Andrzej Szejna has been serving as MP since 2019; a seat in the Sejm was won as a candidate by the Left from the Kielecki district. In 2023 he again obtained a mandate, effectively seeking re-election. After the parliamentary election, he assumed the function of State Secretary at the Ministry of abroad Affairs.
