
On Monday, president Karol Nawrocki submitted to the Sejm amendments to the Act on the Institute of National Memory and the Criminal Code, which aims to prevent the promotion of flag ideology and the denial of the Volyn crime.
A group of Ukrainian historians responded to these decisions. They published an open letter stating, inter alia, that "the Ukrainian side will besides be forced to act in consequence and adopt appropriate acts at the statutory level to measure the actions of certain branches of the National Army and Peasants Battalions".
