Jakub Szczepanski, Interia: How did you and your household live in the same building as the president?
Tomasz Drwal, erstwhile MMA player and podcast author: – It was an accident. Today, I surely wouldn't have decided to buy an flat in a building where the president lives. A year after I acquired the property, I learned that my neighbour would be Andrzej Duda. We've been neighbors for 5 years.
What kind of neighbour is Andrzej Duda?
– A very nice, good and good guy. He never got under my skin. He's a average neighbor, I won't say a bad word about him. And it's not about any politics, I'm judging it from a human perspective. The fact is, nobody chooses their neighbors.
We're talking due to the fact that on YouTube, you're straight hitting the president's security. You mention how a tree fell on your building.
– It fell on a building where my household lives and is housed by the president. We have a common part, which is the roof. On the night of Friday to Saturday (10/11 January – ed.) a tree fell on it. So far, I've accepted things without taking any steps, but now I've decided to say it publicly.
What's your problem?
– For example, we were installed with cameras. I don't have access to this surveillance, I didn't give any consent. I believed that everything would improve the safety of my household and mine. The event last Friday showed that it was not.
When did the bitterness spell break? I see you, as a neighbor, are upset.
– 3 families live in the building. erstwhile there was a dangerous situation with the bark, my wife and small children were at home. The bang was that people next door heard. It frightened me that no of the president's safety had even realized. It would be appropriate for the head of the state to ask if there was anything wrong, or if there was a request to help. And they, even erstwhile they changed in the morning, did not announcement that this tree was based on a house! My wife besides called the fire department. They didn't realize they should react.
Then there was a blackout with the repair crew?
– They knew the girl was alone with 2 kids. On Sunday, they were blocking a crew to safe our common roof. They wouldn't let those workers in due to the fact that the president was asleep. Besides, the president didn't know.
He didn't know?
– I yet got through to him. He admitted he got a image from a neighbor. He called the defender immediately, and the safety defender told him nothing happened.
You have no objection to the president but to the people who should supply protection to the President.
– What happens shows that these officers have nothing to number on. They themselves say superiors don't perceive to them. They're reporting things, and nothing comes of it. Until my YouTube footage came out, I don't think the SOP officers had any thought what happened. The fact is, the president's head of safety came in on Sunday and apologized. However, there was no proposal to help. There are inactive dangerous trees, and in the future there may be a tragedy.
I'm guessing you're inactive sparing your words?
– I said a small bit on YouTube, but it's the first time I've done it. I didn't want to hurt SOP officers. I can realize the various crises that there is no 1 to delegate. Let's just be honest: these guys don't defender trains from graffitiers, they're just expected to keep 1 of the most crucial people in the country safe.
Let's not hide, you're looking at them from a fighter's perspective. Conclusions?
– erstwhile I was making podcasts through my studio, quite a few people came from the service. I didn't anticipate much from the president's bodyguards. I just wanted to show that if they don't respond to the building, where does the head of state live, how do another citizens feel?
In your podcast, 1 can hear, among others, that flowers were sent to Andrzej Duda by a stranger. And no 1 checked them out. That's a beautiful serious charge.
– I didn't see anyone checking them. And all time the president comes in, the police show up with a dog, they're looking for explosives. By the way, no one's always asked me if these people could get on my lot, look under my car or in the garbage can. They go through our rounds, not even a "good morning" will say. 3 families, actually. I know due to the fact that we're talking.
Have you responded yet?
– After an incidental with a tree, I said clearly: if individual enters my territory, without written notice, I will treat them like intruders. If they want to see how I treat people like that, come in.
On YouTube, you accuse SOP officers of cowardice. You said they were afraid to approach a migrant who walked under your house.
– I worked goaltenders in college for a fewer years. I know various cases, the psychology of combat, what happens before. I maintain: they were afraid to go out to the guy I brought them while waiting for the police patrol. I told them from now on, I'd shoot everything and throw it on my channel. If we as citizens do not do this, it will get worse. I don't want to hurt anyone, but there's a request for structural change. The choice of people to trust on.
