President Andrzej Duda awarded the Order of the White Eagle to the publicist, translator, philosopher and erstwhile minister, Prof. Ryszard Legutko, and to the otosurgeon and otologist, founder and manager of the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of proceeding and the planet proceeding Center in Kajetany, Prof. Henryk Skarżyński. This is the oldest and highest state decoration awarded for peculiar services to the Republic of Poland. The Commander's Cross with Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta was awarded to the erstwhile head of the Ministry of abroad Affairs, Witold Waszczykowski.
