The president has given general promotions

Our compatriots anticipate first of all safety and entrust it to your hands – said president Andrzej Duda during the presentation of general nominations. During the ceremony on Flag Day of the Republic of Poland, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, 14 officers of the army and 2 Border Guards were appointed to the general ranks.

– This is simply a large commitment, which is placed on your shoulders in very hard times for the Republic, for our part of Europe and the world, at a time erstwhile dreams of peace, peace and prosperity will regulation forever," said president Andrzej Duda during the celebration of general nominations in the Armed Forces of Poland and the Border Guard.

The president appointed 14 officers of the Polish Army for the first or higher rankHe besides promoted 2 Border defender officers. The armed forces' superior, congratulating the recently appointed generals, stressed that by choosing to take a military oath or an oath from the SG officers, they took on the task of defending the homeland and guarding the safety of the Republic and its citizens. Today, he estimated, this work has increased. “Our compatriots anticipate safety first and entrust it to you,” the president pointed out.

He reminded that already present any of the nominated officers participate in the defence of Poland, protecting our east border. At the same time Duda asked generals to step up their efforts in strengthening the Polish army. “At these times, we are carrying out an accelerated modernization of the armed forces, spending almost 5% of GDP on defence, that is, nearly PLN 200 billion per year, and thanks to this, the Polish army will be strong enough, well prepared and well equipped, that no 1 will dare to attack us”, emphasized the head of the armed forces.

Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz referred to the words of Andrzej Duda, who stressed that present safety is an absolute priority, and the sense of danger integrates Poles. He besides thanked the president for his cooperation for safety and acceptance of general proposals, and the soldiers and officers for building a strong Poland together. “Poland deserves the best and will always get the best from the Polish Army: from its commanders and from each of the soldiers”, Kosiniak-Kamysz stressed.

Tomasz Siemoniak, Minister of Interior and Administration, besides spoke about good cooperation between the military and Border Guard, as an example pointing to the protection of our east border. The politician stated that already PLN 2.6 billion was spent on strengthening the border: building a physical dam, an electronic dam strategy and introducing buffer zone and changes in law.

During the ceremony in accordance with the President's decision to become a Lieutenant General, they were promoted: Gen. Dyw. Karol Dymanowski, 1st Deputy Chief of General Staff of the HR, Gen. Dyw. Piotr Malinowski, Deputy Commander of NATO Support and Communications in Ulm and Gen. Dyw. Sławomir Owczarek, I Deputy Commander-General of the types of armed forces. On the another hand, Brig. Gen. Krzysztof Kociuba, Chief of Staff of the NATO Communications and Information Technology Agency, and Brig. Gen. Dariusz Mendrala, Head of the Armed Forces Support Inspectorate of the Republic of Poland, the president was promoted to the rank of Major General.

The nomination for the first general rank was received by 9 colonels: Colonel Lukasz Andrzejewski-Popow, General Counsel of the SGWP Chief, Colonel Roman Brudło, Commander of the 9th Braniewski Armoured Cavalry Brigade, Colonel Piotr Chodowiec, Head of the Management Board of Headship and Command P6 SGWP, Colonel Waldemar Gołębiowski, Commander of the 4th School Aviation Wing, Colonel Robert Matysek, Commander of the 1st Mazury Artillery Brigade in Węgorzewo, Colonel Andrzej Oleksa, Deputy Head of Staff for Support at the Operational Command of the RZZ, Colonel Mirosław Spurek, Commander of the 15th Giżycka Mechanized Brigade, Colonel Krzysztof Stobiecki, Minister of Aviation at the MON Bureau and Colonel Marcin Zawolak, Commander of the 19th Lublin Armed Brigade.

The president besides advanced to the general rank of Border defender officers: Colonel SG Dariusz Lutyński, Chief of the Nadwiślański Branch SG, and Colonel SG Monika Musielak, Chief of the Nadodrzzański Branch SG.
