The plaque was replaced by a monument that survived the war. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier turned 100 years old

On November 2, 1925, the coffin with the body of an unnamed soldier exhumed at the Cemetery of the Lviv Eaglets was laid to remainder in a tomb located in the arcades of the Saxon Palace. The magnificent residence was blown up by the Germans during planet War II. But the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier has survived to this day and remains 1 of the most crucial symbols of the fight for the homeland.
