More than a 3rd of Poles want guns! The latest study showed a revolutionary change in the consciousness of our society!
On Friday, the Polish Press Agency (PAP) organised a debate which was to advance the latest study on rules on access to firearms. In my opinion, this is another part of the anti-fishing campaign.
Revolutionary change of attitude
The latest study by the Institute for marketplace and Social investigation (IBRiS) – which conducted a survey on the introduction of periodic intellectual investigation by hunters on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment – has now examined the opinion of Poles on weapons. The results were most likely intended to strengthen the argument of supporters of putting periodic investigation for hunters and athletes into the Arms Act. Meanwhile, he showed that we have very strong assets, which everyone is silent about!
Among another things, the PAP invited the president of NRŁ Marcin Możdźonek, the spokesperson for the Lewica club Łukasz Michnik, Rafał Dębowski typical of the Polish Sports Shooting Union and the president of IBRiS Marcin Duma. I will not bully our president due to the fact that the most ridiculous message was the speech of Marcin Duma. According to the president of the IBRiS, the “desire” of weapons by Poles does not increase, remaining more or little stable, regardless of the war in the neighbouring country. In his opinion, Poles like to “outsourcing” their safety and entrust it to professionals – soldiers and another services.
I have no thought where you're getting your information. 1 100 percent not from your company's report, due to the fact that comparing the results of this year's study with the survey that was carried out in 2017 we see a completely different situation! The percent of Poles who want to own weapons increased from 13 to almost 35 percent. It's more than a double jump in just 8 years!
Armed society
The conclusion is obvious! Poles want to own weapons, which is straight related to the unstable situation beyond our east border. Our society has completely revised its approach to arms in 4 years. Poles see the real request for it!
Almost 48 percent of Poles consider the current regulations sufficient. The consequence was misinterpreted by debate participants and journalists who informed the public about the report. Everyone in favour of the PAP Communication argues that this is evidence that there is no request for liberalisation of the rules on access to arms. However, the consequence of Poles should be seen in the historical context...
Eight years ago CBOS conducted a survey and it turned out that 84 percent of Poles wanted to restrict access to weapons. The conclusion that no 1 wants to say is obvious. The transition from widespread support for utmost regulation to acceptance of the current legal state of nearly 48 percent is simply a immense change of attitude!
Poles do not yet shout "we want more weapons", but explicitly reject the introduction of fresh bans. For the hunting and shooting community, it is simply a fundamental change that opens up space to universal education.
Hunters – training facilities
A fresh survey has shown that arms possession is closely linked to national defence, which is simply a completely fresh component in the public debate. Nearly 47 percent of Poles believe that more people with weapons will have a affirmative impact on the defence of the country!
