For years there have been restrictions on shooting objects of strategical importance in the Polish legal system, but only now, thanks to the fresh regulations, these rules have been clarified and tightened up.
The fresh regulations leave small area for any interpretation, clearly stating that it is prohibited to capture not only military objects but besides civilian infrastructure specified as bridges, tunnels, water dams, court buildings or companies.
Exceptions to the prohibition of shooting
The sign prohibiting shooting, now with a unified pattern, is to be clearly visible and contains subtitles in respective languages to inform against the consequences of breaking regulations. Among them are English, German, Russian and Arabic.
These consequences may include fines, detentions, or even failure of photographic equipment or telephone, regardless of who owns the device. However, the prohibition of shooting does not apply in certain situations, specified as the work of site managers or media relations approved by the authorities.
