Kosiniak-Kamish reported that the night of 8th on 9 July was demanding due to intense fire on Ukraine's territory. Around 3:00 p.m., Polish fighters were reported to have been picked up.
– All air defence systems have been put on advanced alert due to the fact that a large raid of about 50 shaheds, 4 ballistic missiles, at least 2 kinjals including in the Lutsk area, quite a few drones in the vicinity of Lviv, Tarnopol, Ivano-Frankowska, so there are soldiers everywhere, too, who I warmly thank – the Deputy Prime Minister said.
The head of the MON said these were "very intense days for the Territorial defence Army, for the operational troops, for all active in defending borders, but besides extra-military activities for which the troops are full ready".
Polish army picked up fighters
As we wrote in onTemat.pl, The first announcement was published on Wednesday 9 July after 3:00 p.m. It was stated that in connection with Russia's attack on Ukraine, "the operation of Polish and allied aviation in our airspace has begun".
In accordance with the procedures, all available "forces and resources remaining at the disposal of the Operations Commander of the RSZ, on-call hunting pairs were picked up, and ground air defence and radio-location systems reached a state of highest readiness".
The actions taken are aimed at ensuring safety in areas bordering Poland.
Two hours later, another message came out. Due to the simplification of the threat, "the operation of Polish and allied aviation in the Polish airspace has been completed, and the forces and resources launched have returned to standard operations".
It has been reported that the Polish military is constantly monitoring the situation. It is on constant readiness to guarantee the safety of the Polish airspace.
