Work on the "loyal winger" for F-35 fighters entered the next stage. An unmanned combat aircraft YFQ-44A Fury, developed by Anduril, first launched an AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air rocket during tests over the Mojave Desert. It is an crucial milestone in the improvement of the American Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA), although it is not a global precedent – akin attempts have already been made by Turkey and Australia. Poland inactive has not chosen an unmanned partner for its F-35.
