The legislature has decided on government to reduce fuel prices in Poland. The bill was passed without amendments. This means that the decision is now up to president Karol Nawrocki.

The decision on fuel price cuts was made in the Sejm on Friday. The bills then went to the Senate. The second made a lightning-fast decision to pass them, and that means it's now all up to Karol Nawrocki.

The first bill on excise taxes was supported by 73 senators. The second, on oil stocks, 75 senators. There were no votes against, nor did anyone abstain.

If president Karol Nawrocki signs the bills that will scope his desk, motorists will be able to number on fuel price cuts. The bills include provisions for reducing VAT and excise taxes on fuel, as well as introducing maximum retail prices.
