The JDAM rocket enters production. It will hit 500 kilometers

The American company Boeing is starting serial production of JDAM Long scope rocket systems, which let for precise hitting of targets from a distance of over 550 kilometers. The fresh weapon is intended to become a cheaper alternate to advanced cruise missiles specified as JASSM, offering the Air Force powerful firepower while maintaining advanced cost-effectiveness. This is the strategical consequence of the US to the request to massively destruct enemy anti-access systems without endangering its own aircraft.
