The Israeli government approved an agreement with Hamas on the ceasefire and the release of hostages in the Gaza Strip - reported the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanjah. The agreement, concluded with the participation of Egypt, Qatar and the US, notified on 15 January, is to enter into force on Sunday at 8:30 local time and provides for a ceasefire for six weeks and the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
