The past of this tiny part of land on the Mediterranean Sea is presented in at least 2 different narratives, but there are any undeniable facts. Tens of thousands of civilians are killed there as a consequence of bombings, and a large part of the population is besides dying of malnutrition and illness caused by war. What is the situation in Gaza today?
The Palestinians have been struggling with the business for a long time. After planet War I, Palestine was British mandate territory. erstwhile the mandate expired in 1947, the First Palestinian-Israeli War broke out, and the Gaza Strip was occupied by Egypt. Still, he never incorporated her into his territory. In 1967, Israel occupied practically the full territory of western Palestine. erstwhile it comes to conflict origin, it is worth reaching for more individual messages, little nonsubjective due to the source. A friend of the author's family, Mr Rebhi, is simply a Palestinian resident in Poland. The article is so based on a frequently omitted Palestinian communicative in Poland. He helped us to learn more about the war, and above all to present the Palestinian perception of the complex situation in the zone. – This conflict started much, much earlier (in 1948). The war in the Gaza Strip, which broke out on October 7, 2023, may have forever broken the pattern of the ongoing conflict on the land of Palestine. There is no uncertainty that this war – the "Al-Aqsa flood" in Palestinian terminology and the "iron swords" in Israeli terminology – is different from erstwhile years since the Israeli army withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005 and evacuated the settlements that were in it. Since 2007, erstwhile Israel has declared the Gaza Strip “an enemy entity” and imposed a comprehensive blockade that continues to this day, says Rebhi.
Currently Gaza is completely destroyed, and entering it is virtually impossible. To get into the Zone, you request peculiar approval from Israeli military authorities. “There is no uncertainty that after the war the full region will not be the same. This will be a fresh reality, in which the balance of forces has changed and in which 1 side no longer has decisive strength and full deterrence, especially in the light of the availability of modern and comparatively inexpensive technology combined with asymmetric wars fought by organizations alternatively than regular armies," notes the Palestinian.

It is besides worth mentioning the situation of journalists who have suffered a conflict in the Gaza Strip itself. According to Defence24.pl, as of October 7, 2023 about 128 journalists died there. According to authoritative data, there are 123 Palestinian, 2 Israeli, and 3 Lebanese journalists among the victims – "This is the largest number of deaths among journalists in any armed conflict since 1992 erstwhile CPJ (Committee for the Protection of Journalists) began publishing statistics. By comparison, 56 journalists died in Iraq in 2006, the second most dangerous year for the media." The number of deaths among UN workers is besides alarming. In November 2024, it was 237. However, these figures may seem nothing compared to civilian casualties. The Ministry of wellness in the Gaza Strip officially announced that the full number of victims was 45,854.
Some political leaders seemingly do not realize these shocking facts. This of course concerns the controversial president of the United States – Donald Trump. always since he was re-elected as the leader of the United States, he has spoken repeatedly about the Gaza Strip and the overall conflict between Palestine and Israel. At a joint conference that took place in February of that year, he and Israeli Prime Minister Binjamin Netanyahu announced that "the US will take control of Gaza". There was besides a plan to resettle Palestinians to neighboring countries. Shortly thereafter, Donald Trump published a video depicting a “racial” imagination of the Gaza Strip.
When asked about the consequence to the words of the president of the United States, Mr Rebhi answers – Trump is no exception in American politics, nor is he a mad middleman who tries to change the planet or cancel historical issues. He is the best typical of the civilization of his country. Civilization based on conquest, plunder, displacement and extermination of indigenous peoples. (...) The Americans and their government want to make beaches, tourist areas and military bases, while the indigenous population will be displaced to Egypt or Jordan, possibly to Indonesia and the Philippines. erstwhile Trump was asked about the legitimacy of the plan, he simply replied, “We have decided and we intend to do so.” Due to the negative reaction of the arabian states to these words, Trump's plan seems now impossible to implement.
The past of the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis leads to reflection. The number of fatalities is unimaginably high. Innocent children and adults are dying, and the planet is watching, not wanting to tame it. With respect to the war in the Gaza Strip, the right course of action can be considered, but the conclusion here is one: the reality is unfair and the price of war is innocent.
