“Zelenski utilized Ukrainian national vacation to endanger Hungary. We powerfully reject the threats of the president of Ukraine. We consider territorial sovereignty and integrity to be fundamental values of global policy. Therefore, we respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of each country and anticipate the same in return," said Shijjarto.
The politician commented on the video on which president Zelenski stated – referring to attacks on the pipeline relationship supplying oil from Russia to Hungary — that "friendship between Ukraine and Hungary depends on Hungarian attitude".

"In fresh days Ukraine has carried out serious attacks on our energy security. An attack on energy safety is an attack on sovereignty. A war with which Hungary has nothing to do with can never justify a violation of our sovereignty," he pointed out in relation to the statements of Ukrainian president Shijjarto.
"We call on president Zelenski to halt threatening Hungary and end reckless attacks on our energy security!" added the head of Hungarian diplomacy.
