In connection with the anniversary of Hamas' assassinations, the Grand Master of the large East of France issued the following statement:
Communication of 7 October 2025. – Remember to never succumb to hatred
On 7 October 2025 the Grand Orient de France wishes to callback the memory victims of terrorist attacks committed by Hamas 7 October 2023.who cost their lives over 1300 people and permanently marked their consciences with their brutality and unprecedented character.
Two years after these tragic events, it is our work not to forget. Memory of victims and solidarity with families stay at the heart of our commitment.
The remembrance of that day must besides remind of the request to accomplish a just and lasting peace. shortly we request Release all hostages and immediate implementation of the ceasefire. In the face of hatred, fanaticism and terrorism, we reaffirm our integrity to universal values Freedom, equality, brotherhood and human dignity.
Grand Orient de France calls for support for all initiatives to dialogue, mediation and building a peaceful future in the mediate East and wherever force threatens the cohesion of nations.
Remembering October 7, 2023, we confirm that the memory of the victims is call for collective responsibility: Building a planet where hatred never triumphs, where all human life is respected, and peace remains a possible horizon.
