On Wednesday, a decision was made that almost killed the government's hopes of pushing through the controversial Lex Pilot. The Parliamentary Committee on Digitization of Innovation and Modern Technologies rejected a controversial task under which PiS MPs wanted to force private operators to place TVP channels at the beginning of their lists. Television: Lex Pilot Rejected in Parliamentary Committee! There will be no TVP channels at the beginning of the lists? The Lex Pilot bill, which has been the subject of a considerable public debate for many weeks, was rejected in the course of voting at the session of the Sejm Commission for Digitization of Innovation and Modern Technologies. Let us remind you that the rulers wanted to introduce revolutionary changes in television, including ordering operators to place in positions 1 to 5 only the channels of Telewizja Polska: TVP1, TVP2, TVP3, TVP Info and TVP Kultura. ‼️ The opposition wins the vote, #LexPilot rejected at the gathering of the digitization committee. This bill is not an improvement in access to information. Eventually, the entry for positions 1 to 5 in the channel lists was removed. The thought of expanding the list of stations by the National Broadcasting Council under the "must carry, must offer" principle, i.e. those that must be offered to customers free of charge, was besides abandoned. However, this did not change much and the task was rejected. So is this the end of the celebrated Lex Pilot? Not necessarily - the decision taken by the aforementioned committee may inactive be annulled by the Sejm. The task will then be returned to the committee. However, it seems that the implementation of the provisions proposed by the government is far from being implemented. The government wanted to set viewers channel lists with private operators. The Lex Pilot Act failed in the parliamentary commission
