In the state of Schleswig-Holstein, plans were made to replace the old diesel-powered ferry with a modern, electrical unit, the "Missunde III". The task was to cost 3.3 million euros and be completed in 2022, but delays and construction problems have meant that work is inactive ongoing, with the cost rising to 4 million euros, reports the German "Die Welt".
