New standards of home care are already in force. What a elder can get from the municipality

As of 7 August 2026, there is simply a regulation which, for the first time in a uniform way in the country, determines what activities consist of home care services. For seniors and their families this means the end of a situation where the way in which the aid was provided depended mainly on the practice of a peculiar municipality. However, there is simply a question mark over the reform: the law that introduces it, the president referred it to the Constitutional Court.
