From 7 August 2026, a regulation has been in force, which for the first time defines in a uniform manner on a national scale what activities make up care services provided at home. For seniors and their families, this means the end of a situation in which the method of providing assistance depended mainly on the practice of a peculiar municipality. However, there is simply a question mark over the reform: the law that introduces it was referred by the president to the Constitutional Tribunal.
