Ladies and gentlemen,
In preparing this year's calendar, we could not pass indifferently alongside the actions undertaken by the Minister of National Education Barbara Nowacka.
We decided to dedicate it to the characters, works and events that the Ministry of Education intended to erase from the curriculum and that were to be swept into dusty corners of museums.
And that's why we called it "the banned calendar." The calendar can be read and ordered on the website www.YearZFamily.pl.
What, then, will the students not learn at the “new school”? What issues will vanish or be reduced?
These include issues concerning the conflict between Poland and the German Empire, Polish-Truthian wars, the bar confederation, the Wielkopolska uprising, the Silesian uprisings, the defence of Poland against Nazi attacks. Germany in 1939, killing Poles by German and russian occupiers, saving Jews by Poles during the Second planet War, or fighting “Soldiers of the steadfast” with Soviets.
It's hard not to announcement The topics that have awakened Poles' pride over the years are erased. Characters who have been a model of courage, sacrifice, and wise concern for Homeland may vanish from the textbooks.
We won't accept it!
These issues cannot be removed from our collective memory. On the contrary, this memory should be constantly maintained, nurtured and passed on to another generations. It is an indelible part of our identity.
Therefore, the calendar we are putting into your hands is, as we have stated in the introduction, our “non possumus” expressed to the censory urges of the present power!
It mentions St Maximilian, the bar confederates, the blessed Ulm family, the works of St John Paul II and Blessed Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński.
I think you will agree that we cannot let us – as Poles – to forget them. But it's not the first time you've tried to destruct our identity like this.
Of course, we remembered the applicable side of the calendar. As all year we have marked state holidays, holidays, names, ecclesiastical celebrations, memories of saints and blessed ones, and a shorter calendar for 2026.
This year's edition is illustrated by photographs of places related to the characters of the calendar. In addition, in order to emphasize even more their relationships with our culture, we have included quotations related to the figures and events described.
So I hope that the calendar will be inspiring, you will just like it and aid plan the coming days, weeks and months.
Therefore, I warmly encourage you to order the “Forbidden Calendar”. It can be done on the website www.YearZFamily.pl.
We send the calendar free of charge, but we will be grateful for the donation erstwhile we receive it. We hope you decide to support our regular work by providing financial support
I hope you will find area for the banned calendar in your home. I besides encourage you to inform your relatives and friends about him.
Like in erstwhile years our calendar will besides go beyond the borders of Poland.
This year we sent 20,000 copies to Poles surviving in Lithuania. It turns out that apart from patriotic values, our calendar there is the only 1 that reminds of church celebrations and memories from the liturgical year.
Thus, it provides even more aid to Poles surviving there, who endure from the deficiency of publication in Polish. This motion meant extra expenses for us over 30,000 oftr.
All the more reason to ask your support. I am counting on your help
Finally, thank you again for your heart and trust.
I warmly greet you,
Marcin Perłowski, manager of the Center for Life and Family
