Under current wartime conditions, including widespread drone deployment and extended kill zones, units within the Ukrainian Armed Forces are increasingly specializing as drone-assault battalions and regiments. This concept assumes full synergy among all combat elements of the unit, ranging from drones, fire support, and electronic warfare (EW) protection, to assault groups, in order to accomplish dominance over a circumstantial section of the front, which would let for effective offensive operations at a scope of respective kilometers in the event of a counterattack or even over a twelve kilometers in the case of a raid.
