The first Leopard 2A8 for Norway will leave the mill this month

According to the portal [Forsvarets Forum](https://www.forsvaretsforum.no/forsvaret-forsvarsmateriell-haeren/haerens-nye-knyttneve-er-like-om-hjornet/465172), the first Leopard 2A8 tank for Norway will leave the KNDS Deutschland (formerly Krauss Maffei Wegmann) plant in Munich on November 19, the first tanks produced are to be delivered to Norway by the end of 2026, their first operational readiness is to be achieved in 2027, while the last of the ordered tanks are to be delivered by 2031. Recipients of Leopard 2A8 tanks must be patient, due to the fact that despite the comparatively tiny orders calculated per tank battalion for a given customer, production and deliveries are carried out comparatively slowly.
