According to the portal [Forsvarets Forum](https://www.forsvaretsforum.no/forsvaret-forsvarsmateriell-haeren/haerens-nye-knyttneve-er-like-om-hjornet/465172), the first Leopard 2A8 tank for Norway, will leave KNDS Deutschland (formerly Krauss Maffei Wegmann) plant in Munich on 19 November, the first tanks manufactured, to be delivered to Norway by the end of 2026, their first operational readiness to be achieved in 2027, while the last of the tanks ordered are to be delivered by 2031. Leopard 2A8 tank recipients should be patient, due to the fact that despite the comparatively tiny orders calculated for a tank battalion for a given customer, production and transportation are carried out comparatively slowly.
