The first flight of the “new” Hercules in Polish colors

The described device with the side number 91-9141 is the youngest of the 5 Hercules acquired for the Polish Air Force under the contract of 2021. [It arrived in our country in December] (https://defence24.pl/sily-zbrojne/kolejny-hercules-zasilil-sily-powietrzne), being the first delivered under the “ramp to ramp” procedure, according to which the Americans handed over a serviceable aircraft, consecutive from service with the US Air Force. This allowed, after reviewing and changing the paintwork, to rapidly deploy it into service.
The Hercules described was produced in the early 1990s, so it is “only” somewhat over 30 years old on the neck. The next 2 aircraft were acquired as part of the Excess defence Articles (EDA) program, as a consequence of which the Polish side bore the cost of partial retrofitting and preparation of the aircraft for the flight from the United States to our country. In their case, production falls on the 80s of the XX century.
