The first attempts of the Swallow

Jaskółka is simply a mine destroyer of the 258 Kormoran II project, built by a consortium led by the Remontowa Shipbuilding shipyard, with the participation of OBR CTM in Gdynia and PGZ Naval Shipyard in Gdynia. After tethered trials, the ship had been ready to start sea trials for respective weeks. Unfortunately, they could not start at that time due to the icing of the Martwa Wisła and the impossibility of beginning the pontoon bridge to Ostrów Island. The operator of this bridge did not cope with this due to unfavorable weather conditions. And from the Remontowa Shipbuilding shipyard to the Bay of Gdańsk there is only 1 road for large vessels. It is through the pontoon bridge, which is opened for specified circumstances.
