The European Commission is preparing a plan to strengthen the European Union's technological independency in the area of artificial intelligence. The draft strategy, which the Financial Times reached, assumes the improvement of European AI solutions and reduce dependence on US and Chinese companies. The EC wants to earmark any EUR 1 billion from existing EU funds.
