In total, the expected compensation was estimated at over PLN 6 trillion by the authors of the publication.

– This is the amount that we have asked the German Government and in the European Parliament we will rise in debates, but besides in motions for resolutions. The Second planet War is simply a historical event, but not regulated in Polish-German relations. We will take all possible measures, both in the EP and in the fresh German government, so that Germany will take historical work for the consequences of planet War II and enter into dialog on this issue. Poland renounced its reparation in 1953 in a paper which was published by the Polish government under the leadership of Bolesław Bierut. According to any historians, any decision then made is invalid. The issue of war reparations from Germany appeared in the Polish public debate after 1989 respective times. In September 2004, the Sejm unanimously adopted a resolution calling on the Polish government to take action on this issue. Eighteen years later, the Sejm re-adopted a resolution calling on the government to search damages and declared that the Polish State had never waived its claims against the German State. On 3 October 2022, the Ministry of abroad Affairs issued a diplomatic note to Germany on taking immediate action aimed at lasting, comprehensive, definitive, legal and substantive regulation of the effects of German aggression and occupation. The German MFA has assessed that the issue of reparation or compensation is closed, that position is unchanged and does not supply for negotiations on this issue. This opinion was repeated by the fresh German Chancellor Friedrich Merz during his visit to Warsaw.
Attempts of individual redress in Polish and German courts proved unsuccessful

Even at the present phase of the improvement of human rights protection and the enlargement of the regulation of law in the European Union, Germany continues to evade compensation, covering itself with immunity from legal proceedings.
