The European Parliament has decided on the immunity of Grzegorz Braun

The European Parliament decided on Tuesday to waive the immunity of Grzegorz Braun. Euro MPs voted to proceed investigating him.


On Tuesday, 6 May Euro MPs voted on the immunity of Grzegorz Braun. Most advocated his repeal. This means that the prosecution in Poland will be able to proceed its proceedings against the Member.

The vote was linked to an incidental that occurred in the Sejm last December. During the celebration of Hanuki, Grzegorz Braun extinguished Khanuk candles with fire extinguishers. The territory Attorney's Office in Warsaw is investigating this. A politician may be charged with insulting a group of persons on grounds of religion.
