The European Commission proposed on Wednesday that further EU support for Ukraine be financed utilizing frozen Russian assets or debt incurred by the EU. The European Commission wants to transfer 90 billion euros to Ukraine, which is to cover two-thirds of Ukraine's needs for the next 2 years. To reassure Belgium, the EC is proposing financial guarantees.
