Former president took refuge in the embassy, now fled the country

Former president of Panama Ricardo Martinelli received political asylum in Colombia. The politician has already left his country, thus ending respective months of protection in the Nicaraguan embassy. He was given refuge there erstwhile the court sentenced Martinelli to 10 years in prison.
