The end of the USS Nimitz. Americans scrap second atomic aircraft carrier

The United States Navy has begun conceptual work related to the withdrawal of the atomic aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, the first unit of its kind and the second U.S. superaircraft carrier in history. Demolition will take many years and will cost more than many modern ships.
