French right-wing leader Marine Le Pen stated on Saturday that France should not share its atomic deterrence. Earlier president Emmanuel Macron said he was ready to "open a discussion" on European atomic deterrence.
– French atomic deterrence should stay French, said Le Pen, adding that "it should not be shared and even more delegated."
She besides commented on a public dispute between US and Ukrainian presidents, Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenski, in the White House. She stated that it was ‘normal’ that clashes between leaders could happen and considered it ‘obvious’ that the United States was ‘an ally of France’.
