Changes to the 800 plus benefit, which for any time has been available only to foreigners who are completing compulsory schooling in Poland, have resulted in a large influx of fresh students to schools. Since September, over 30,000 children from Ukraine have joined. The number of those who have been receiving the 800 plus benefit since the beginning of the year has fallen.
