The Earth's north magnetic pole is heading towards Russia. What does that mean?

For decades, the Earth's north magnetic pole has been steadily shifting towards Russia. About 30 years ago, this process accelerated. The changes were so crucial that in 2019 a fresh planet Magnetic Model (WMM) was announced. Since the pole is shifting all the time, another update is expected soon. The case is reported, m.in, by the American "Newsweek".
