Diplomats from Turkey, the US, the EU and arabian countries will decide on the future of Syria at the Jordan meeting. According to the Turkish paper The regular Sabah, "highest-ranking diplomats from many Western and arabian countries will land in Jordan on the weekend to participate in the Syrian crisis summit, following the overthrow of long-term dictator Bashar al-Assad".
The Jordan Ministry of abroad Affairs reported this information on Thursday. Among the diplomats to participate in the "to discuss events in Syria" summit are the Heads of the Jordanian, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, the United arabian Emirates (ZEA), Bahrain and Qatar diplomacy, as well as representatives of the US, Turkey, the EU's Head of Diplomacy and the United Nations envoy for Syria.
As a consequence of the fresh 12-day fast offensive, with Turkish and Israeli support, opposition forces overturned the 50-year regulation of the Asad family. The Turkish paper notes that it was "one of the largest turning points for the mediate East for generations".
The weekend talks in the city of Akaba on the Red Sea aim to "support an inclusive Syrian-led political process in line with UN safety Council Resolution 2254".
It is envisaged to "establish a transitional framework that is consistent with the aspirations of the Syrian people and will search to rebuild state institutions, defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria and guarantee the security, stableness and rights of all citizens".
The summit will be preceded by a visit by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Jordan and Turkey. Blinken departed from Akaba to Ankara on Thursday and was admitted by president Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He spoke to his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan on Friday. After a discussion, Blinken said that the US and Turkey have a "wide-ranging agreement" on the future of Syria.
– There is broad agreement on what we would like to see in the future, starting with the Interim Government in Syria, which is inclusive and undenominational and protects the rights of minorities and women He added that the fresh interim government "cannot pose any threat to any of Syria's neighbours". The head of American diplomacy indicated that it was crucial to keep control of the alleged muslim State Group. He besides said that there was a large chance of “getting out of the shackles of Bashar al-Assad” and of entering “a different and better future for the Syrian people, specified as the Syrian people themselves will decide”.
The Turkish abroad Minister said that both discussed ways of establishing prosperity in Syria and ending terrorism in the country. He pointed out that "the precedence is to establish stableness in Syria as rapidly as possible, to prevent the growth of terrorism and to guarantee that the muslim State and the PKK do not dominate".
Turkey stresses the issue of safety in Syria, where it fights the Kurdish PKK organisation, which it considers to be terrorist. It is the wing of the Kurdish YPG, supported by Washington in the fight against the muslim State. On Thursday, the Ministry of abroad Affairs of Damascus appointed the temporary charge d’affaires of the Damascus embassy after the embassy closed in late March 2012, 1 year after the beginning of the Syrian civilian War. Turkey has been active from the very beginning of the alleged arabian Spring in supporting militias that have been against the government of Bashar al-Assad.
The fresh Syrian leader for the time being is Ahmed al-Sharaa, more widely known as Mohammed al-Jolani, considered a terrorist by the U.S. and whose head has been awarded a $10 million prize. It is presently leading a "switching offensive", promising inclusive, diverse governments.
Meanwhile, the opposition, composed of a number of flexible military militias, is bloodyly dealing with Assad's officials and members of the Alawite spiritual group, performing gruesome extrajudicial executions.
There are besides no regulated relations between the jihadist HTS organization, which is at the head of the opposition and the pro-Turkish Syrian National Army (SNA) and supported by the US, dominated by Kurds by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Israel and Turkey benefit from chaos, taking over more Syrian lands.
There are inactive about 900 American soldiers in Syria, guarding oil fields with Kurds and claiming to be fighting against the jihadists of the muslim State. erstwhile U.S. Ambassador to Damascus, Robert Ford believes that US forces in Syria are actually deployed to service as a trap in connection with the future war with Iran, not to fight ISIS.
Israeli politicians will most likely press to strike the final blow to the weakened Iran, which inactive has a powerful arsenal of ballistic missiles and drones, allies and agents throughout the mediate East and the Persian Gulf.
"The American Conservative", however, suggests that president elect Trump is reluctant to engage in the war with Tehran. Trump's squad decided to “stuck” before the public a “hawk” Brian Hook of Trump's first administration due to his remarks that the fresh administration would resume a run of maximum force against Iran.
In addition, the Lebanese household Michael Boulos, Trump's son-in-law, a specialist in the mediate East (also his father Massad Boulos, who helped Trump win the votes of Arab-Americans during this year's presidential election).
The Boulos household is closely associated with Suleiman Frangieh, a Christian Maronite presidential candidate for Lebanon, supported by Hezbollah. "Although loyalty may change, the link itself suggests access to forces that would be essential for Trump to establish a border for American wars in the mediate East," commented The American Conservative.
Even after taking office, Trump's squad can announce any measures against Iran. However, they should not be "too drastic, leaving open political space in which Tehran would not gotta respond excessively in response". Conservatives hope to scope an agreement with Tehran, and this is an chance for a coup in Syria and the overthrow of Assad's rule.
