– “Ukraine cannot join the European Union ‘burdened by Banderaism,’” declared PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński, announcing that he would block Ukraine’s accession to the EU until the crimes of the Volhynia massacre are addressed. Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz described this rhetoric as a “festival of hypocrisy and duplicity,” while informing of rising aggressive sentiment in the country.
