The German government set a national hydrogen strategy in the summertime of 2023, which was to see green hydrogen replace natural gas in Germany by 2045. The mark in this strategy for home electrolysis capacity by 2030 has even been doubled from 5 GW to 10 GW. Just last year, German hydrogen producers had a capacity of 0.1 GW.
