The Warsaw territory court did not take into account the complaint of defence of Mr PiS Marcin Romanowski to the decision to arrest him. Nor did he take into account the defence's request to exclude 1 of the judges. Prosecutor Bartosz Grabowski as well as the deputy chief of MS Bartosz Lewandowski informed about the decision of the court. "The court illegally seized by Bodnar's men after a fewer months of harassment sustained the decision about my detention. The ruling composition chosen as in the Russian roulette, the full series of manipulations with its respective substitutions" – he assessed the full situation on the X platform Marcin Romanowski, MP of PiS.
The complaint of Mr Lewandowski afraid the decision of the territory Court for Warsaw-Mokotów last December, erstwhile the court agreed to 3 months' detention for Romanowski, who is simply a fishy in the Justice Fund.
The politician left for Hungary in December 2024 and obtained political asylum there. In February of this year, the territory Court in Warsaw set the deadline for a gathering on 6 May on the complaint of the defence against this detention. However, the defence applied for the exclusion from the ruling justice Anna Bator-Ciesielska.
The court did not take this request into account and dismissed the defence's complaint against the decision to apply 3 months' detention to Romanowski.
Prosecutor Grabowski told journalists that the court in the oral recitals of the provision "widely referred to the existence of both general grounds for the application of the preventive measure" and pointed out, among others, the legitimateness of the fear of tagging.
Mec. Lewandowski, on the another hand, said that the court considered that the fact that “his client obtained global protection in Hungary” and did not reside in Poland, “does not waive the request for an interim arrest”.
