– I was approached by politicians, lawyers, various people who were frustrated by the presidential election," said Szymon Hołownia on Friday in the programme Guest Events in Polsat News. As he revealed, he was repeatedly suggested to hold the oath of Karol Nawrocki. "The coup d'état will not do with me," he added, stressing that he did not succumb to any pressure.
– I did not vote for Karol Nawrocki, he was not my candidate, but as talker of the Sejm, I am obliged to respect the will of the majority of voters," stressed the president of Poland 2050. Let us add that the ultimate Court in early July officially confirmed the validity of Nawrock's election as president, Holovnia has already announced that on August 6 will curse a candidate supported by PiS.
These words were referred to a day later by Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Pabianice. In his opinion, in politics—as in life—unthought gestures and speeches can lead to dramatic consequences.
– erstwhile we let kids go on vacation, we say to them, "Don't do anything stupid due to the fact that stupid things can turn into drama." It is precisely the same in politics," he commented. He added that irresponsible or immature actions by politicians could have serious consequences for citizens and the state.
Simon Holovnia explains the words of the coup
On Saturday afternoon, Holovnia posted an extended entry on his private Facebook account in which he referred to his words. As he pointed out, he utilized the word "state coup" in a political sense, not legal.
– This was a diagnosis of a situation in which the state is destabilised and democratically undermined," wrote the talker of the Sejm. He recalled that since the second circular of presidential elections, there has been many waiting at his address not to recognise the result of the vote, not to call the National Assembly or to block it, or even to order fresh elections.
The Hołównia pointed out that all of these suggestions were answered unequivocally: the elections were presumed to be valid and any irregularities should be investigated through prosecution proceedings. “There is no factual and legal basis for not calling on the National Assembly and taking oaths from the recently elected president of Poland”, he added.
He besides stressed the importance of maintaining the continuity of power, the stableness of institutions and the sovereignty of the Armed Forces. "Like unanimous leaders of the coalition on October 15, I powerfully argue attempts to destabilise the state," he wrote.
At the end of the Holownia appealed for peace: – Let's not search plots where there are no conspiracies, and let's not question the democratic verdict of voters, no substance what emotions it evokes.
Ordo Iuris applies to the D.A.
The speech of the marshal did not pass without reaction from conservative legal circles. Bartosz Lewandowski, a lawyer associated with Ordo Iuris, informed on Saturday that on behalf of the National Judicial Council he had submitted a motion for evidence to the territory Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.

Let us remind that on Friday the National Prosecutor's Office presented the results of the investigation squad investigating irregularities during this year's presidential election. The documentation from 250 devolution electoral commissions was analysed, and problems were identified in 84.
The examination of voting cards shows that Karol Nawrocki had 1538 votes besides many and Rafał Trzaskowski 1541 besides few. So we're talking about a difference of 1.5 1000 votes. Mathematics indicates that this difference did not affect the result of the election," noted the spokesperson for the National Prosecutor's Office Przemysław Nowak.
