The Confederation of the Polish Crown notes further reinforcement. The group led by Grzegorz Braun was officially joined present by Tadeusz Samborski, an experienced parliamentarian, historian and end activist. This is another MP who has late been feeding the ranks of the Confederate party.

Tadeusz Samborski was born in 1945 in Gańczary. His biography is powerfully related to the destiny of Kresowians – after the war his household was resettled to Rogow Legnicki. By education, he is simply a historian; he doctored at Moscow University in 1977. For many years, he worked as a writer and diplomat — among others, as the 1st Secretary of the Polish People's Republic Embassy in Laos and correspondent of the Green Flag in Moscow.

Samborski is simply a figure well known on the political stage. He has already held his mandate 3 times: in Parliament II, IV and the current – 10th term. For many years he was associated with the Polish People's Party, in whose structures he held a number of functions. In 2023, he entered the Sejm with a letter of coalition 3rd Road in Legnica district, scoring over 16,000 votes.

As an MP in 1994, together with Tadeusz Iwiński, he initiated the creation of a subcommittee to review the MFA staff. The report, which was the consequence of her work, contained controversial requests, including the removal of diplomats related to “Solidarity” and the opposition to “the implementation of Vatican plans in the East”. These actions were part of his critical approach to the western direction of Polish abroad policy. From 1996 to 1998 and 2002 to 2004 he was president of the Foundation “Helping Poles in the East”.

Today's announcement of joining the Confederation of the Polish Crown may surprise any observers. His current profile – based on his engagement in the case of Kresów, his activities in the foundations of cooperation with the East, as well as public statements about east abroad policy – may nevertheless find a common denominator with the line represented by the environment of Grzegorz Braun.

The addition of Tadeusz Samborski is another signal that the Confederation of the Polish Crown wants not only to grow its representation in the Sejm, but besides to attract people with large political experience and strong regional background. This is besides evidence that any 3rd Way parliamentarians – dissatisfied with the coalition course – are looking for alternatives in more expressive ideological environments.

The question remains, how will the Samborski movement affect the agreement of forces in the Sejm and will it attract further independent MPs seeking a fresh political platform?
