It turns out that Donald Tusk, in 1 of the fewer cases, is faithful to his views from the parliamentary electoral campaign. It was then, not knowing that it was being recorded, that he said to the clearly amazed writer TVN24 Agata Adamek: “This is the ghastly thought that I will be sitting back there on this agrarian one.”
And indeed in the Sejm, it is very rare, frequently not even in the votes, which are usually scheduled for just 1 hr and only 1 day, during a 3-day sitting. The Marshal of Holovnia so praised the erstwhile week that he had specifically extended the session of the Sejm until Friday and invited Prime Minister Tusk to study on the Thursday European Council held in Brussels. Although it should be held in Warsaw, Poland has a half-year Presidency in the Council, for which we will spend about PLN 500 million, but as already stated in the media and even those favourably favoured Tusk, it is the “bezobspawny” Presidency.
President Andrzej Duda came to this gathering on Friday and despite Tusk speaking almost an hr ago, he said nothing interesting, possibly the most crucial message was to say that the United States is, however, the guarantor of our security. This is an crucial message made in the full plenary Chamber, due to the fact that since Donald Trump's triumph in the U.S. presidential election and his taking power in January of that year, Donald Tusk had a number of statements and entries on the X portal that may have caused serious doubts about the matter. However, any of them have pointed out that it may have been designated by the leaders of the largest Western European countries as the leader of the anti-trumpet movement in Europe, and that would have disastrous results for our country.
The speech in the Sejm confirmed that Prime Minister Tusk is taking it rather "loosely", as he was invited to present the findings of the RE summit in Brussels at any point "I will not bore you with the effects of the summit, the conclusions are available on all website". After the wave of outrage that swept through the seismic hall, he decided to say a fewer sentences about the subject, but as it is customary, he missed the truth, claiming that the summit was groundbreaking, though of course there was no breakthrough. It is said that the Union has woken up, which has been erstwhile in the last 3 years since Russia's aggression on Ukraine began, unless only in that respect that it paid Russia about €22 billion last year for imported LNG, and that Ukraine has only allocated €18 billion to aid Ukraine, and this year for 2 months, this import has even increased compared to January and February of the erstwhile year.
Prime Minister Tusk, like the president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the president of the RE Antonio Costa, spoke of a breakthrough in arms measures, and there has already been an infamous €800 billion here, only that it is meant to be mainly associate States' money, provided that they want to spend it on this purpose. This EU supplementary defence spending plan is based on the presumption that EU countries will increase their spending on this mark by an average of 1.5% of GDP over the next 4 years, which means that these expenditures will increase by around 650 billion euro. In addition, the EC president proposed that it lends EUR 150 billion on the marketplace for guarantees based on the EU budget, of which it will lend to associate States for the acquisition of arms. Only that these loans will be conditional, in the form of “milestones” whose way of action has been tested during the provision of funds under the KPO, especially towards countries whose governments in Brussels are “not attracted”. The very probable condition utilized for the granting of these loans will besides be "buy European" mainly in German and French, even if you were to wait for the supply of this weapon after respective years. In this situation, countries that have contracted state-of-the-art weapons in the US or South Korea, like Poland, will most likely not be able to benefit from these measures.
So there is no breakthrough at European level, the constant talk about Europe's strength creates illusions that we can defend ourselves against Russian aggression, and the fact is that without the presence and commitment of the US, Europe cannot cope with an aggressive neighbour from the East. Poland must, therefore, spend almost 5% of GDP on reinforcements in the coming years, implement contracts already concluded, Polishize, where possible, the production of weapons and make the most of Trump's administration's favour for Poland until the end of the current word of president Andrzej Duda, and hopefully his successor, Karol Nawrocki.
