Chief of Police General Jarosław Szymczyk resigns. And we would most likely not inform you about the retirement of the head of the Polish police, if it were not for the fact that Szymczyk became a hero of memes and a laughing stock throughout the country precisely last year.

Let's remember. On December 14, 2022, explosion of a gift from Ukrainian safety in the Police office in Warsaw. General Jarosław Szymczyk was injured and was to tamper with a gift from “friends” from behind Bug. Szymczyk rapidly became hero net memes – selected graphics are presented under the text. For his unresponsibility he suffered no consequences.

Gen. Jarosław Szymczyk was appointed Chief of Police on 13 April 2016. Before that, he was besides the Provincial Commandant in Rzeszów, Kielce and Katowice. Now – by Business Insider – Szymczyk can number on a briefing of over PLN 162 thousand. This will be the equivalent of unused leave if the commandant has kept any days. For each day, it is an amount exceeding a 1000 zlotys.
