The Bundeswehr is inactive waiting for the "Australian Boxers"

[German army received in May 2024](https://defence24.pl/sily-zbrojne/niemcy-odbieraja-testowego-boxera-z-australii) a test copy of a fresh variant of the Boxer wheeled armored personnel carrier, which will yet be intended for "Jagr" units. By definition, it meets the parameters of a combat reconnaissance vehicle. The contract for the acquisition of 123 vehicles by Berlin was signed [in mid-April 2024](https://defence24.pl/sily-zbrojne/australia-wyprodukuje-bojowe-wozy-rozpoznawcze-dla-niemiec) with the Australian subsidiary of Rheinmetall. Thus, these vehicles are besides called "Australian Boxers".
