Karol Nawrocki, Sławomir Mentzen, Szymon Hołownia, Adrian Zandberg, Grzegorz Braun, Marek Jakubiak, Joanna Senyszyn, Krzysztof Stanowski, Artur Bartoszewicz and Marek Woch attended the debate held on 14 April by TV. Magdalena Biejat and Rafał Trzaskowski did not respond to the invitation. The debate was conducted by Katarzyna Gójska – wife of Michał Rachonia.
The debate, as journalists admit in the network, was hard to see not only by the candidates' statements, but besides due to the mediocre level of implementation. Problems with image and sound, delays and awkward cuts – they are only part of the charges. Participants interrupted each other, entered words, and at times almost jumped at each other's throats. The lead seemed to be out of control of the debate – it was limited mainly to counting down time, not responding to increasing tension and skills of candidates towards each other.
A wave of criticism after a debate on tv Republic
Many commentators did not spare any words and, in the course of the debate, gave a sharp assessment of its level. Krzysztof Brejza of KO wrote, "Down, gutter, seaweed. Marianian morals ditch". Patrick Michalski of the WP ironized: "Even in time they did not get the guests hooked up". Michał Danielewski of OKO.press added: "The hall looks like it will take over the debate".
"Sad view. Candidates for the most crucial office in the state give applause to the station, which is simply a hatred memorial in public space. any people are desperately looking for the electorate, where they won't find it," wrote Robert Kropivnicki, MAP's vice president. Criticism besides fell on Sławomir Mentzen and Krzysztof Stanowski: "Am I the only 1 who is not very funny? PiS politicians praise. tv Republic announces: There will be another debate
Of course, only affirmative comments on the debate, its organisation and the deficiency of participation of Trzaskowski came from PiS politicians. Jacek Sasin stated that "the absence of Trzaskowski is the best thing that could have happened to this debate. It's substantive, it's normal. And the only 1 who presents the presidential format is Karol Nawrocki. That's the truth. 3:0 from Friday – keep it up!".
"But he's in debate, and he's in debate! He most likely chose only this version, due to the fact that he saves his time before the planet burns" – he ironized on the platform the X Euro MP PiS Patryk Jaka.
"And beautiful Karol Nawrocki between Holownia's eyes – mockery with 500+ and comparing women to ATMs is contempt for society. THE large WINTH OF THE NARROCK CAROL!" commented Przemysław Czarnek.
Although Monday's presidential debate on tv Republic met with a wave of criticism – both from politicians and journalists – the station has already announced another event of this type. inactive in the course of the issue, a declaration was made that the next debate would take place on 9 May, just before the first circular of the presidential election.
