The shootings occurred at the minute erstwhile the Iranian wave of drones and missiles managed to break Kuwait's defense, on Sunday 1 March before noon local time. This was at the time, among others, erstwhile the American base of Port Shuaibaw in Kuwait was electrocuted and American soldiers were killed. There were many Kuwaiti combat aircraft in the air that fought Iran's means of aerial assault.
