The alarming results of the control of the state budget for 2024 have passed almost without echo!

Where are the journalists???? The alarming results of the control of the state budget for 2024 passed almost without echo, and after all all the bells should be ringing for alarm!!! These are the hard facts presented by the ultimate Chamber of Control:

• The full deficit of the state budget and the budget of European funds reached the highest value in the past of the 3rd Republic in 2024 – PLN 222.5 billion.
• The debt needs of the State's GROWTH budget by more than 30% compared to the erstwhile year, and public debt increased by about 20%.
• Over 135 billion PLN allocated to the tasks of the state were financed with the exception of the state budget, i.e. with the alleged out-of-budget funds, outside the control of the parliament.
• The Council of Ministers did NOT present complete data on government gross and expenditure in its budget implementation study for 2024.
• From the general budget reserve, PLN 20 million was allocated for tasks that did not come out of sudden, unpredictable events – which is contrary to the rules of reserve management. In addition, the NIK points to many irregularities both at the phase of the planning of the peculiar reserve and their disposal.
• Of the 33 beneficiaries of grants and subsidies audited, as many as 30 OF THE INSURANCES APPROVED, accounting for a full of PLN 13.2 billion.
• According to estimates, the ratio of government debt (according to the EU definition) to GDP CROSS in 2026 the threshold of 60%, which may consequence in Poland being subject to the excessive deficit procedure.
• From the funds received so far under the National Recovery Plan for the implementation of the planned actions AMOUNTING 10%. The remaining appropriations were utilized to manage the liquidity of the budget, which in the assessment of NIK constitutes a serious breach of the rules on the management of Union funds.

Neither the Minister of Finance nor the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy disputes full and reliable information about the full amount of expenditure incurred under the KPO. Who is in control? If there are no real changes in public finance management in Poland, the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk will lead Poland to a financial disaster – if it has not already happened.

This is not a question of policy – it is simply a substance of fundamental work of the state for the money of citizens and future generations of Poles
