3rd Polish-Belarusian Forum Roman Skirmunt launched

On 4 June 2025 the 3rd Polish-Belarusian Forum Roman Skirmunt started in Warsaw – an yearly event that provides a platform for dialog and exchange of experience between experts, representatives of civilian society, academic and political circles from Poland and Belarus.

The aim of the Forum is to build lasting and partnership relations through open debate, joint analysis and the improvement of concrete proposals for cooperation on many levels.

During the Forum the most crucial topics concerning Polish-Belarusian relations are discussed, including:

  • the current state of relations between the 2 countries,
  • the impact of the war on Ukraine on the situation of Belarus,
  • the function of Belarusian diaspora in Poland,
  • differences in perception of common history.

The conference is held in Polish and Belarusian languages.

The east European Studies of the University of Warsaw are represented by the Deputy manager of the University of Warsaw, Dr Adam Eberhardt.

The event is co-organised by: “Politic Sphere Institute”, Marek Karpi east Studies Centre, UW east European Studies, European Transformation Centre and the Institute for improvement and Social marketplace of Belarus and east Europe.
