The athletics Gala was held in Żagań, which summarized the results of competitions in the common athletics involving soldiers of the 11th Lubuska Division of Armored Cavalry. In the most crucial rivalries – at the level of the Polish Army and General Command of Armed Forces Types – they took first place. Participants of the Gala summarizing sports and training activities of the 11th Lubuska Division of Armored Cavalry congratulated the athletic achievements of General Piotr Fajkowski. The general handed each player who represented the Black Division in the competition, a commemorative coin for victory in sports competition in the Polish Army and in DGRSZ in 2024. – This is your hard, solid, soldierly work, for which I thank you warmly. It is not so easy to stay in the first place, especially since, objectively speaking, we are the smallest sports training group in the division erstwhile it comes to the number of soldiers," the general stressed. However, he pointed out that it is quality, not quantity is converted to the first places.

The squad of the 11th Lubuska Armour Cavalry Division, competing in competition in the common athletics in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, consists of soldiers from Żagań, Świętoszow, Międzenia, Bolesławca, Zielona Góra and Czerwieńska. Two Black Division soldiers triumphed in the classification of the Polish Army's combined championship in 8 sports disciplines. They won in firing a military weapon and cross-country runs. However, this year proved successful for the Black Division. “In spite of many business tasks and field groups, we have created optimal conditions for players to full prepare for the start. For the first time in history, we have achieved double success in both major competitions. This is simply a large effort of our players, but besides trainers, WF staff and, of course, commanders of military units, who gave players the chance to reconcile their duties with the preparations for the launch," said the major. Speaking of plans for 2025, the officer emphasized that the Black Division intends to repeat a double triumph in both major rankings. “We will do everything to confirm our dominance and we will not be satisfied with the general commander, who stated at the Sports Gala DGRSZ, that he would like to see a change on the master’s throne”, said Major Traczuk.

At level 11 LDKPanc in 2024, champions were selected in 10 disciplines. In the squad score, the representation of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment from Bolesławca was definitely second in a row. The artillery triumphed with a score of 117 points and by 10 ahead of the representation of the 17th Mechanized Brigade from the Interstate and by 21th squad of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade from Świętszów. Artillerians were besides honored with a cup for winning in the ranking for the highest number of points earned by their players in favour of the Black Division's representation in the sports competition in the Polish Army in 2024. They won them 169 – 1 more than the players from 10 BKPanc and 18 more from 17 BZ.

To a double triumph in the rankings he led soldiers of athletes – as an officer liable for coordinating the preparation of the players for the launch – Major Jakub Wołyński, Head of the WF and athletics Section of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment. – We have shown that not quantity, but quality counts. You know it's always harder to keep first place. We proved that last year's triumph was no accident, and we repeated our success with a 10 points advantage. Now we will see what the future will bring – said the Major. The officer does not hide that he intends to fight his representation for a triple crown. We'll do anything to win for the 3rd time in a row. Thanks to the large effort of many soldiers, we have developed a strategy that works. In 2017, I took over the section and then we were in 5th place. The long-wave task has brought success and we prove that nothing happens by accident in sports – concluded the officer.
